While wolf opponents and supporters battle, "Cost of Freedom" takes viewers on a journey into the wilds of Idaho to track the "White Cloud Pack." The pack’s struggle for survival illustrates remarkable similarities to human nature, encouraging a deeper understanding of this fascinating social predator as the true cost of freedom is revealed.

"Working on the exposé, Cull of the Wild: The Truth behind Trapping, I became aware of the fact that wolves were being trapped in close proximity to my home in Ketchum, Idaho.
Arriving at the site with my camera and crew of two, we were greeted by federal agents working for "Wildlife Services," formerly known as "Animal Damage Control" - an agency responsible for slaughtering millions of wild animals each year on behalf of cattle ranchers. Also present was a biologist for the Nez Perce Tribe, the group responsible for helping monitor reintroduced wolves. We were told that we were not allowed to film activites on the trapline. Since these were agents supposedly working on behalf of the public, their salaries and activites paid for by the public, "managing" the public's wildlife on public lands, I was intrigued as to why their activities should be censored.
It didn't take long to figure out that this was a seperate story begging attention. So the project Cost of Freedom was born.
